Copy the Winner, Change the Bid, Extend the Flight: Your AI Agent Now Runs the Daily Loop on Meta

Your AI agent can now copy a winning ad set, change a bid, move a flight and rename on Meta. Each copy starts paused, and each change shows the value it replaced.

Two stacked ad set cards with a rising bid line beside them, on the AdCrunch dark-lime card.

Every media buyer runs the same loop.

You read the numbers. One ad set beats the others. Then you act: you copy the winner into the scaling campaign, you raise its cost cap, you push the end date of the flight by two weeks, and you give the copy a name that follows your convention.

Until today, your AI agent could do the first half. It read performance across Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and OpenAI. On Meta, it could build paused campaigns, pause, resume and move a budget. To copy, change a bid, extend a flight or rename, you opened Ads Manager.

That changes today. Your agent can now copy, change a bid, move a schedule and rename on Meta, from the same conversation where it read the numbers.

What Is New

Ask your agent to… What happens on Meta
Copy a campaign or an ad set Meta makes a paused copy with the same settings. An ad set copy can go into another campaign.
Change the bid Highest volume, Cost per result goal, Bid cap or ROAS goal, with the amount that the strategy needs.
Move the flight A new start date, a later end date, or no end date at all.
Rename a campaign, an ad set or an ad The new name, so your naming convention holds.

Two changes to the campaign create come with them:

  • Ad set budgets. Ask for a campaign with no budget, and each ad set carries its own. That is the shape a media plan has when each line has its own budget, so a Campaign Plan can now become live campaigns line by line. You can also let the ad sets share up to 20 % of their daily budgets.
  • A bid strategy from the start. The campaign and its ad sets can take a bid strategy at creation.

Ads Manager calls a copy “Duplicate”. It is the same action.

The Loop, in One Conversation

In Claude, in ChatGPT, or in the Adgent inside the AdCrunch console:

Which ad set had the lowest cost per purchase in Northwind France last week?

The agent reads the numbers and names the ad set. Then:

Copy it into the Summer Scale campaign, for June. Name the copy FR – LAL 3% – Scale. Raise its cost cap to €14.

The agent does it in three steps: a copy, a rename, and a bid change. Before each change, AdCrunch reads the object on Meta as it is now, not as AdCrunch last stored it. The copy arrives paused. The agent tells you which budget the copy carries, so you know what it will spend when you activate it.

Activate it.

Spend starts there, and not before.

Every Change Shows What It Replaced

A log that says “cost cap set to €14” tells you half the story. The half you judge is what it was before.

So AdCrunch now keeps the value that each change replaced. The Activity page in the console shows the old value beside the new one, for example:

Change On the Activity page
Budget Daily budget €800 → €1,000
Bid Cost cap €12 → €14
Schedule End date 31 May → 30 June
Name Spring – FR → FR – LAL 3% – Scale
Status Active → Paused

The old value is also the undo. Ask the agent to put the bid back, and it sends the old value with the same change. One limit: an end date that is already in the past cannot come back, because Meta refuses an end date in the past. To stop an ad set after you extended it, pause it.

The Rules That Keep It Safe

More power over a live account needs clear limits. These are ours.

A copy starts paused. Every copy, like every create, arrives paused. Nothing spends until you activate it. That is one explicit step, and your AI client can ask you to approve it.

No change starts spend by surprise. Only an activate turns a paused object on. A bid change, a schedule change or a rename never changes a status. There is one case to know: when you give a new end date to an active ad set that has already ended, Meta delivers it again. The agent tells you when that happens.

The budget is the ceiling. Meta limits spend by the budget only: at most 175 % of a daily budget in one day, and at most 7 times the daily budget in one week (Meta’s rules). A higher bid can make an ad set spend its full budget, but never more. So the budget stays the one number to watch, and AdCrunch checks every budget that a change sets.

Only your ad account. Before each change, AdCrunch reads the object on Meta and checks that it belongs to the ad account you connected. A campaign from another account is refused, even when your Meta login can reach it.

One change, one name. Each change is its own tool: copy, budget, bid, schedule, name, status. When your AI client shows you a call for approval, the name tells you what changes. A rename and a bid change never hide in the same request.

What It Does Not Do Yet

We prefer that you know the limits before you meet them.

  • A copy holds one object. A campaign copy holds no ad set, and an ad set copy holds no ad. The agent rebuilds the ads one by one, with the same creative as the source, so each ad keeps the post of its source, with its likes and comments.
  • No targeting changes. A copy keeps the targeting of its source. To change who sees an ad set, create a new one.
  • One object per change. To pause forty ads, the agent makes forty changes. Each one is in the log.
  • No “+20 %”. Ask for a 20 % increase, and the agent reads the live budget and sends the new amount. Meta sees an amount, and so do you.
  • Meta only. On TikTok, Google Ads and OpenAI, the agent reads. It does not change anything.

Where It Fits

The loop your agent runs is now complete on Meta:

  • Read your accounts and performance, across Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and OpenAI.
  • Plan the quarter as data your agent can execute.
  • Build paused campaigns, ad sets, creatives and ads.
  • Copy, bid, schedule and rename what already runs. New today.
  • Save the playbook that says how your team does all of it, and run it by name.
